Phone call to Ireland. In order to place a phone call to Ireland you need to dial +353 followed by the local number. You can dial a + on a mobile phone or cell phone easily or if you are calling from a landline and calling from lets say the USA you need to substitute the + for 011. The prefix then becomes 011 353. On the other hand, if you are calling Ireland from England you will dial 00 instead of 011. It can be confusing but the easiest way to understand it is that the country you are calling from has its own access number that you have to dial to get out of that country, much like dialing 9 in a company to get an outside line.
