Calling Ireland

Calling Ireland from most of the world usually requires you to first dial 00-353 followed by the local number in Ireland. If there is a 0 if front of the local number you are going to be calling then drop that 0. The 0 is only necessary if you are calling the local number from within Ireland. There are exceptions to the above. For example, if you are calling Ireland from the US then dial 011-353-localnumber. If the local number is a Cork number such as 021-000-0000 then drop the 0 so you are now dialing 011-353-21-000-0000. Calling Ireland from the US is straightforward but once you have done it a few times it will become second nature.
